Payment
Question : Can I pay by credit card ?
Answer :    No, we do not accept credit cards.
Question : What currency do I need to pay to your invoice ?
Answer :    We accept only payment in US Dollar and Thai Bath for international Move. KIP can be accepted only for domestic moves, home and office move.
Question : Can I pay after delivery of good ?
Answer : No, we only accept payment prior to the shipment, i.e after the packing will be done by our teamwork for private payment.
However, we are flexible on payment option for direct payment by diplomatic or semi-diplmagtic organization in Laos.

How many days will it take for packing air and sea shipment ?

It will take 1-2 days to pack 1×20’ container and 3-4 days to pack 1×40’ container for sea shipment.There are some factors which may delay the progress of the works such as heavy rain, flooding, unexpected situation, road under construction and renovation.

It will take half day to 1 days to pack air shipment.

How many workers will come to pack my personal effects ?

The number of packers will depend on the volume and the complexity of you personal belongings. Typically, Geotrans Logistics and Movers Lao have 5-8 workers for pack-out. However, we use 8-10 workers for delivery of goods in Vientiane to finish   

Can I store my personal effects into your storage warehouse ?

Yes, you can store your personal effects in our storage warehouse. Our facility is equipped to securely store a wide range of items, including furniture, appliances, clothing, and other personal belongings. We have measures in place to ensure the safety and protection of your items, such as 24/7 surveillance, climate control, and restricted access. Whether you need short-term or long-term storage, we offer flexible options to accommodate your needs. Our goal is to provide a reliable and convenient solution for storing your personal effects, giving you peace of mind knowing that your belongings are in a secure environment.

 Can I access to my goods during the storage ?

Yes, you can access your goods during storage. Our storage facilities allow customers to access their stored items at any time, although some may have specific operating hours. It’s advisable to check with us for accessing to stored items.

Firearms and ammunition
Pornographic materials
Reactionary (politically subversive) materials
Buddha Statue or Buddha Image and all representation of gods such as Indian Gods
Plants, seeds, animal products, currency, and precious metals, Chemicals, flammable products
All liquid items such Perfums, Toiletries lotion and soap liquid, milks, waters, alcohools, wines
All type of batteries
All type of chargeable devices such as watches, notebooks, blutooth speakers, mobile phones, power stations, power banks, chargeable led light, etc.
All type of unremovable battery devices such as calculators, led light

Can I ship Wine and Alcohool ?
Yes, you can ship wine and alcohol, but there are certain restrictions and regulations that need to be followed. Shipping alcohol is subject to regulations on alcohol importation which vary depending on the destination country and the type of alcohol being shipped.

It is important to check the specific regulations of the shipping carrier and the destination country before shipping.
Additionally, some countries have limitations on the quantity of alcohol that can be shipped for personal use.

What is a bill of lading (BL)?
The bill of lading is the contract between you and the mover

What is an Airway bill (AWB) ?
It serves as a receipt of goods by an airline, as well as a contract of carriage between the shipper and the carrier.

What kind of documents do we need to provide to mover in Laos ?
Diplomatic and semi-Diplomatic Shipment
– A copy of valid Passport
– A copy of The Lao Foreign ID Card
– A copy of Lao Visa (Visa de Service)

Private organization or Private Personal Shipment
– A copy of valid Passport
– A copy of The Lao Work Permit (if any)
– A copy of Lao Visa (Business Visa, etc)

What types of insurance will I be offered?
Movers generally provide Insurance protection for your goods in case they are lost or damaged.

Limited liability: This is the basic coverage required by law and doesn’t cost you anything. Under limited liability, the mover is responsible for 20 cents per pound per item for an interstate move.

Actual Cash Value and Full Replacement Value of goods : Geotrans Logistics & Mover Lao provide a premium ITI Insurance Company to cover your personal effects shipment during the international transport both by air and by sea. This insurance costs the most and covers the actual cost of an item’s replacement or repair.
